A great and open-source fully features database, which can be used in place of say, SQL server as a full fledged database, supporting sub-queries, triggers, stored procedures etc., and even like Access for deploying with a Windows application, for free and with a small foot print of just one or two dlls! Forked from Borland's Interbase.
